Light malfunction suspends Darton baseball game

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  Darton coach Glenn Eames has seen a power outage or two in his lineup over the last 15 years.

Friday night it was a different kind of power outage that forced the Cavaliers game with Andrew to be suspended after two innings.

The lights at Cavalier Field would not work on Friday and the game will resume at 2:00 p.m. Saturday.

The two teams will play a seven inning game after that and a third game that will last nine innings will be played at 4:00 p.m. Monday.

In other college action,  Valdosta State splits a doubleheader at West Georgia.

Wolves win game one 10-9 and the Blazers win game two 19-9.

In softball, Albany State sweeps an SIAC doubleheader at home against Claflin 8-0, 18-3.

Valdosta State posts two shutouts at North Alabama.

Lady Blazers take game one 2-0 and game two 7-0.
