ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Students and Albany State are walking to raise money for a noble cause.

The American Cancer Society is holding a Relay for Life event on campus.

On Friday student organizers encouraged their classmates to walk and raise money and awareness about cancer.

"As students we did our research about what cancer is and how can we help the community. This is something we really wanted to do," said Joy Adefarakan, Student Organizer.

The students are asking everyone in the community to come out and join them.

They'll be walking until four in the morning near the founders grave site on campus.
