TIFTON, GA (WALB) - South Georgia College and ABAC have both started slow against GJCAA competition.
Both looking to move up the standings by beating the other in a three game series.
The Tigers take game one 11-7 Thursday night at ABAC.
SGC's Zach Bennett hit solo homeruns in the seventh and the ninth innings.
The Stallions got two runs in the bottom of the seventh on a triple by Xavier Gay and two more on a bases loaded single from Ikaika Anderson in the eighth.
The series ends with a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at Tifton.
In Huntsville, Albany State falls to DI Alabama A&M 11-8.
College tennis, Valdosta State men beat Emory 8-1 and the Lady Blazers fall 7-2 to Auburn-Montgomery at the AUM tournament.
High school soccer, Deerfield-Windsor Lady Knights beat Southland 10-0 in Americus and are 4-0 in the GISA 3-AAA.
