CAMILLA, GA (WALB) – Investigators are searching for two masked gunmen who shot two people during a robbery Thursday night in Camilla.

The robbers rushed into the Route 66 on Highway 19 just before 10:00 p.m.  Police say two clerks were working and a customer was leaving the store as the robbers rushed in, but they forced the customer back in the store.

The men with guns demanded money from the clerks. The employees handed over the money, then the masked men fired several shots at the victims before leaving the store. Police haven't released the names of the victims, but the customer and one of the clerks was shot and rushed to the hospital.

Police, GBI, and Mitchell county K-9 units scanned the area with no luck Thursday night. They are reviewing surveillance video now.

If you know anything, call Camilla Police.
