ALBANY - Four Albany businesses are the Chamber of Commerce's Industries of the year.

Merck and Company was large manufacturer of the year for its science camps and economic contribution. Coats & Clark won in the medium category for eight million hours of producing Red Heart yarn without an injury. And golfball manufacturer the Cayman Company is the small business of the year for its first tee program to attract disadvantaged kids to the game.

Mark Davis, E.D.C. Chairman, said, "When you get leadership in large corporation or small businesses that are willing to give back in time, talents, and money way the four did, we are very fortunate.

Albany's best corporate office is Strategic Industry Supply Corporation. The company started as a husband and wife operation 40 years ago and now employs 75 people.
