Tifton - A south Georgia Hospital is almost finished with a 35 million dollar expansion.
Tift Regional Medical Center added more than 100,000 square feet of new space and more than 56,000 square feet of renovated space.
The three story building has privacy booths, ten new operating rooms and flat screen monitors. Medical personnel are proud of the Heart Center which has one of two CATH Labs in Georgia. The other lab is in Valdosta. Hospital President/CEO, William Richardson, says, "Our medical staff have selected the top of the line equipment because we think it offers the greatest advantage to our patients and the hospital authority supported the acquisition of that equipment. It's a great addition to our cardiovascular services here at Tift Regional."
The hospital also has Tifton's first underground parking garage. Patients will be able to use the facility within one month.
