ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  Georgia Southwestern coach Eddie Ward was frustrated by his team's lack of offense in game one of a doubleheader at Albany State.

The Lady Canes got their bats working with a six-run sixth inning and beat ASU 8-3 in game one.

The GSW women won game two 10-0.

The Albany State women took a 3-1 lead on a triple by Ta'Shelya Bynum who scored on a ground out in the fifth.

GSW's Megan Wilkinson got the Lady Canes offense going with a two-run homerun in the top of the sixth to tie the game.

Lady Canes took the lead on a throwing error and Heather Hodge drove in another GSW run with a single.

Shortstop Lyndie Duff led the Lady Canes in game two with a homerun and six rbi's.

Heather Hodge scored four runs on three hits.

Wednesday's game was a make-up of the second game of a doubleheader that was postponed in February due to cold weather.

Coaches Robert Skinner and Eddie Ward decided to play a doubleheader on Wednesday.
