VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –  A Valdosta restaurant worker shot during a terrifying robbery Monday night is out of the hospital, but the robbers are still on the run.

21-year-old Tony Duncan, a cook at the Pizza Hut on Northside Drive, was shot in throat when two masked men went in the store armed with guns.

20-year-old Jessie Northam was punched and hit the back of the head with a gun. Two other employees were also in the store. The robbers took money and ran away.

The Pizza Hut does not have surveillance cameras.

"We've checked the businesses in the area our detectives are checking videos in the area that's kind of an in progress thing right now," said VPD Capt. Bobbi McGraw.

If you know any details, police want you to contact them. The robbers are young black men maybe 17 or 18 years old. One is slender and one is heavy set.
