Update: On March 30, 2010, as the result of a joint effort between the Valdosta Police Department and the FBI Federal Gang Task Force, five (5) additional arrests have been made in connection with the March 20th shooting incident at 1803 Claudia Circle and the incident is being considered to be a "gang related incident."

Gilbert Greer, 23 years of age; Jeff Ferguson, 31 years of age; Adam Bridges, 24 years of age; Brandon James, 17 years of age; and Antonio Gifford, 22 years of age, have all been arrested and charged under the ‘State Gang Crime Act' along with Nicholas Hill who has been identified as the "shooter."

Greer, Ferguson, and Gifford are also being charged with 3 counts of being a "Party to the Crime of Aggravated Assault." Greer is also being charged with "Possession of a Firearm by a convicted Felon." All offenders are Valdosta residents.

State Probation and State Parole assisted with today's arrests, which occurred at multiple locations, and without incident. The persons arrested were brought to the Valdosta Police Department for questioning and then transported to the Lowndes County Jail.

It is the stance of the Valdosta Police Department that if any property that is used by the offenders identified in gang related crimes can be seized; we will seize that property and turned it over to the state.

The vehicle, which was used to transport the suspects to the incident location in this case, has been seized and will be turned over to the state.
