ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Some lucky young people got a head start on their Easter Egg Hunt.

Saturday morning more than two hundred young people gathered in Tift Park for the Albany Recreation and Parks annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Volunteers laid out eggs filled with candy in three separate areas for different age groups.

It took just a couple minutes for all the eggs to be collected, the kids were also treated to arts and crafts, and time with the Easter Bunny.

"We're so glad to see so many folks out here, it's the beginning of Spring Break, even though it doesn't exactly feel like Spring this is our annual Easter Eggstravaganza. We've been having it here in Tift park as long as anyone can remember, and it is an annual right of Springtime here in Albany," said Kristin Caso, Albany Recreation and Parks Department.

Members of the Precious Gems Motorcycle Club and Southwest Georgia Home School Key Club volunteered for the event.
