COLQUITT COUNTY, GA (WALB) – A south Georgia couple is found guilty of abusing their little boy.
On Friday, a Colquitt County jury convicted Amanda Chaney of aggravated assault, aggravated battery and child cruelty. She was sentenced to 60 years in prison.
Colt Chaney was found guilty on two counts and sentenced to 40 years.
In 2008, the Chaney's were arrested after a babysitter noticed severe burns on then 3-year-old Carson Chaney's chest, back and left leg.
Doctors said Carson may have died without treatment.
