The number of American war casualties continues to grow, and many of those killed are Georgia troops.

Monday, the Defense Department identified six soldiers from Hunter Army Air Field killed in a Blackhawk helicopter crash last week.

One of the victims was Captain James Adamouski. His father is a Vietnam veteran. "We'd really like people to know what a wonderful individual he was," said his father, Frank Adamouski. "He never put himself out as being unusual or special. He always made the people he was with feel special and made them feel good and made them do the best that they could do in their jobs."

Adamouski got married seven months ago. He graduated from West Point and hoped to teach there after attending Harvard Business School.
