ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Economic development strategies discussed Friday in Albany will be part of a Southern Growth report sent to 13 southern state governors.
Economic development officials from across southwest Georgia met with leaders of Georgia Tech's Enterprise Innovation Institute.
They discussed what Albany and other cities need to do to respond to the economic challenges facing the communities. The groups brainstormed strategies for economic recovery.
"We're turning a corner hopefully but that's what we're trying to do gather some info. from what leaders in the community think are things that we might be able to do as a community to try and help move through this," said Enterprise Innovation Institute Regional Manager Art Ford.
The information on policy changes will be compiled and shared with 13 southern governors in the 2010 Southern Growth Report.
