Poulan-- A Worth County woman is glued to the television watching the war in Iraq.

Brenda Gibbs' son, Al, is a crewman in the Air Force's 60th Fighter Squadron. While his mother is proud of her son's military career, she says she always worried he would end up in combat.

"I really wasn't gun-ho about it, then after it all started I thought oh lord," Gibbs said. "but he's done good and I'm proud of him, it's just time like this it terrifies you and it's stressful."

24-year old Al Gibbs comes from a long line of military veterans. His father was in Vietnam and his grandfather in Korea.
