TIFTON, GA (WALB) –  A Tifton man is still in the hospital after he was shot outside his apartment Tuesday night.

Tifton police are looking for the man they say shot Darrell Row twice in the abdomen. It happened at Brookfield Mews apartments on Tifton El Dorado Road just before 9:00PM.

Police say Row was standing outside his apartment between buildings 9 and 10 when he was shot and the suspect ran away. Some neighbors said they heard the gunshots.

Now they're worried for their own safety because this is the third shooting at their apartment complex this year.

"Very crazy how an innocent man can sit up here and get shot over nothing," said Latasha Marshall. "And all this stuff going on around here, basically I'm scared for my kids to even be out here."

Neighbors also said a fight broke out at Brookfield Mews earlier in the day that led to the shooting. Row is now in good condition at Tift Regional Medical Center's ICU.

If you know anything about the shooting or the suspect, call Tifton Police at 229-382-3132.
