ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A foggy morning has led to smoke filled air. Residual smoke from controlled burns Tuesday is hanging low Wednesday morning because the fog is slow to lift.

Typically, the fog burns off by around 10 AM, but Wednesday, it stuck around a little longer.

There hasn't been much wind to carry the smoke away.

The Forestry Commission is asking people with burn permits for controlled burns Wednesday to wait until the fog clears.
