THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) –The South is known for its debutante balls, but have you ever seen a dogutante?

Some Thomasville pet owners will soon have the chance.

They'll present their furry family members at the 2nd Annual Dogutante Ball on Saturday, March 27th.

The event will be held at Glen Arven Country Club in Thomasville and will feature cocktails, a buffet, live music, and dancing.

"Dogutante ball is sort of similar to old debutante balls where people would present their young ladies," explains Thomasville/Thomas County's Humane Society Director, Joyce Patterson.  "In this case we are presenting the beautiful and handsome dogs of Thomas County."

There are only 25 spots for the dogutantes available.

Tickets are $75 per person and $150 per pet. All proceeds will benefit homeless pets at the Humane Society shelter in Thomas County.

For more information, you can call their office at (229) 228-0613.
