ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Albany Firefighters believe vagrants are to blame for a fire that burned a vacant South McKinley apartment Sunday night.

Firefighters say this is the fourth vagrant fire at these apartments in the last 6 months. They say the fires are a danger to the neighborhood.

The fire broke out about 6:30 Sunday night when firewood burning in the kitchen sink caught the wall on fire.

Investigators say they also found liquor bottles and drug paraphernalia in the apartment. No arrests have been made.
