VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –A migrant worker was stabbed four times around 1 a.m. in Sparks. Police arrested his neighbor.

26-year old Felipe Garcia is still in the hospital. Investigators say 51-year old Marcelino Beltran stabbed him multiple times with a butcher knife after an argument at a mobile home on South Avenue. Beltran is charged with aggravated assault. He went back to his own trailer after the stabbing and was later arrested.

"We do know both of them were heavily intoxicated and had been pretty much heavily intoxicated all day from witnesses around there but nobody seems to know for sure what the fight was about," said Cook County Sgt. Brent Exum.

Beltran cut himself during the assault. He was treated and then went to jail.
