MITCHELL COUNTY, GA (WALB) – Mitchell County deputies have spent the day searching for a missing 70-year-old woman.

Sheriff's officials say between six and seven Saturday morning, Patricia Miller left her home on Highway 262 between Pelham and Vada on foot and never returned home.

Family members say Miller has a bad knee and that it's unusual for her to leave home without returning.

The sheriff's department has brought in a helicopter and snorkelers to assist the search. Miller is 5'4 and weighs between 200 and 210 pounds and has Graying hair.

If anyone sees her will they please contact the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office at (229) 336-2030.
