Mathis released on $5,000 bond - WALB.com, Albany News, Weather, Sports

Leesburg, GA (WALB) – Former Lee County prosecutor Craig Mathis is out of jail on a $5,000 bond.

Mathis appeared before a judge Sunday afternoon in Lee County - two days after he was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

A judge ordered Mathis to surrender his right to practice to law until the case is complete. Mathis will also have to enter an in house substance abuse program. The attorney waved his 4th amendment right to search and seizure.
