ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Census forms have already arrived at in more than 120 million mail boxes across the country. Census leaders in Albany want to make sure you fill them out.

Saturday the Census Bureau held a census block party at Veterans Amphitheater.

Community leaders reminded the crowd about the impact the count could have on Albany and southwest Georgia.

Filling out the ten questions could mean millions more in funding for some communities.

"We need to get our fair share and this is one of the ways we'll be able to get our fair share if we fill out that from and mail it back," said Howard Brown, Census Committee Co-Chair.

The US Census Bureau has made the forms easier to fill out.

They're hoping for a higher return than in 2000, when about 73 percent of households returned their forms.
