ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  An Albany man arrested for hit and run this week was already awaiting trial on burglary charges. 33-year-old Terry Roberson is charged with vehicular homicide in the death of 66-year-old Roosevelt Coley.

Coley was hit by two vehicles while walking across Oglethorpe Blvd. In January. Neither driver stopped.

Police say Roberson was one of the drivers. Roberson was arrested in October for burglary, and was released on bond while awaiting trial.

"It is an analysis that Judges take on it depends upon a person's criminal history whether they have any other pending charges open, the type of burglary that is alleged to have occurred" said Assistant District Attorney Christopher Cohilas. "It is a fact driven decision that is made by the court."

When bond was set, prosecutors objected. Roberson's bond was later revoked and he was re-arrested March 1st.

Police are still looking for a second vehicle, an SUV, that also hit Roosevelt Coley and sped away.
