ALBANY, GA - (WALB) - Beauty, charm and academic excellence will take center stage tonight when four contestants compete for the crown in this year's Miss ASU pageant at 7:00PM in the ACAD auditorium at Albany State University.
To compete for the much-coveted crown, contestants must be single, have no children, possess a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and demonstrate integrity in scholarship and leadership.
This year's contestants are Ali'Yah Arnold, Amber Bennett, Kaszia Brown and Ashley Jackson.
Arnold, the daughter of Myra A. Brown, is a 21-year-old mass communication major from Lithonia, Ga.
Bennett is the 21-year-old daughter of Jennifer and Michael Bennett of Cairo, Ga. She is an accounting major who plans to pursue a joint graduate degree program in law and business administration.
Brown is the oldest daughter of Phyllis and Eugene Brown of Atlanta. She is a 21-year-old business management major with a minor in mass communication.
Jackson is the 20-year-old daughter of Anita and Jeffrey Jackson of Ellenwood, Ga. She is pursuing a dual degree in marketing and business management.
