ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  You probably don't think very much about where the things you buy come from, but a lot goes into providing the parts and materials, and the end product to you.

Executives from industries across the country met at Albany State Thursday. The Center for Advanced Logistics Management is a new initiative that prepares students for top level jobs in moving materials.

"This whole world of material management and supply chain movement and gathering and paying for quality of goods is probably the next generation for many of these young people," said Herb Smith of HC Smith Limited.

The organizations goal is to help Albany State and Albany Tech maintain and expand a comprehensive and advanced logistics/supply chain management program.
