The first practice is an historic moment for the Seminole football program.
It is the first for new FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher.
Fisher was named Bobby Bowden's successor three years ago and he is looking forward to his first spring.
Fisher says offseason conditioning has gone extremely well and he says the defensive players are adjusting to their new coaching staff led by new defensive coordinator Mark Stoops.
Fisher may now be the head coach but the former FSU offensive coordinator is still going to spend most of his team on that side of the ball.
Jimbo Fisher said. "I will be just like I was before running drills and doing everything. During drills there will be some times when you see me slip up on the defensive side of the field and watch. everyone knows as a head coach you are going to have to allot your time to get up there."
The FSU spring game is April 10th.
