ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Albany Police released new information Saturday surrounding the death of a Florida man; his body was discovered Thursday inside an SUV in East Albany.
APD said they believe no foul play was involved in his death the body was so badly decomposed they could not immediately identify his race.
With the help of family they have positively identified him as 57-year-old Leonard Higgins from Florida.
Higgins body was found inside a red Ford Explorer parked near a drainage ditch near Broadway Court.
Investigators are still trying to determine how long he had been there. They will wait for toxicology results from the Macon crime lab to determine how he died.
