RUSSELLVILLE, ARK (WALB) - Valdosta State's Amanda Haven scores a layup with six seconds left to beat Fort Valley State 50-49 in the first round of the NCAA DII regionals at Arkansas Tech.
The Lady Wildcats Takesha Riggs missed a long shot at the buzzer after Riggs gave the Lady Wildcats the lead at 49-48.
Valdosta State was cruising with a 28-13 lead but the Lady Wildcats came storming back in the second half.
The win is number 20 this season for the VSU women who will play Delta State in the regional semifinals on Sunday.
The Lady Statesmen beat the Lady Blazers in the semifinals of the GSC tournament last week.
