ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Some prime real estate is up for auction Saturday in Lee County. About 24 acres of land in front of Grand Island Golf Club will be auctioned starting at 10 AM.
The owner decided to sell some of his property and thought an auction may be the best option during this tough real estate climate. The land includes the current site of the driving range plus two homes.
Buyers will set the starting bid, but the auctioneer believes the final prices will reach fair market value. Some prime real estate is up for auction tomorrow in Lee County.
Vince Barfield said, "When you come to a real estate auction, you have a serious, motivated seller and you obviously have serious buyers who are ready to buy and close."
15% earnest money is due at the time of the purchase Saturday. Potential buyers will be registered beginning at 8 AM.
