TIFTON - Make a list of the top schools in the country, and you've got Harvard, Princeton, and M.I.T. Then there's ABAC and Bainbridge College. The two South Georgia schools are heading to the Quiz Bowl National Finals in Los Angeles.
"It's the culmination of two years of practice and learning " ABAC Coach Erin Campbell said.
ABAC got some last minute practice today, buzzing in on some tough questions. They'll head for California Thursday to take on freshman and sophomores from the nation's top 32 teams. But they are not intimidated.
"Yeah we are an ag college, but we still know just as much, if not more than you do," team member Kati Wheeler said.
Bainbridge got Georgia's bid by winning the sectional tournament. ABAC played well enough this season to get an at large bid. This year's national champ will be crowned on Saturday.
