ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A wreck held up traffic on Highway 82 around 6:15 Thursday evening at an intersection people who live nearby call deadly.

This time, everyone involved walked away. Dougherty County Police say a woman crossing Highway 82 from North County Line Road in Acree did not stop in the median area.

That's when Stan Johnson driving east on 82 in his Little Debbie truck hit the van. The van spun off and hit a car sitting at the stop sign.

"Not a lot can go through your head in about three seconds that's about how long it took," Johnson said. "It was a miracle nobody got hurt and we thank the Lord for that."

Police charged the driver of the van with failure to yield at the intersection.
