ABAC is offering a new degree

TIFTON, GA (WALB) – Students at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College can now turn their love of music into a degree.

Over the last 10 years more than 150 students have majored in music at ABAC but most didn't finish the program because it did not easily allow them to transfer to a 4-year college.

The new program takes care of the core curriculum requirements and allows for a more seamless transition into a bachelors program.

"In fact it probably better prepares them because then they're on par with the students who are already at the university level," said Dr. Niles Reddick, the Vice President for Academic Affairs at ABAC.

The new Associate of Fine Arts program is part of ABAC's overall plan to increase the number of programs that it offers as it becomes a four year school.
