LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) - Lee County may try to boost revenue by going after people who call for an ambulance and don't pay for the service.

A year and a half ago, the county instituted a fee for people who get help from an EMS crew, but refuse to be transported.

But they've only collected about 20 percent of the fees that have been billed.

The county is owed about $40,000.

Tuesday night, commissioners discussed setting a collections policy to make sure more people pay up.
