ALBANY,  GA (WALB) – SWAT units raided an Albany apartment early Tuesday morning where police say a man held his girlfriend hostage and wouldn't let her out for several hours.

The domestic dispute began around 11 Monday night. Albany police say 39-year-old Michael Jackson locked his girlfriend, 55-year-old Jasmine Boyd inside their apartment with him and wouldn't let her leave.

Neighbors heard screams and called police. The SWAT team assisted and busted in the apartment around 2 Tuesday morning. Police say Jackson didn't have any weapons and Boyd wasn't injured.

Jackson was arrested and charged with false imprisonment.
