ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Georgia freshman quarterback Zach Mettenberger was arrested by Remerton Police early Sunday morning at a bar called "Flip Flops" .
Mettenberger has been charged with underage drinking, obstruction, disorderly conduct and having two fake id's.
Mettenberger was released from the Lowndes County jail shortly after his arrest.
Mettenberger signed with Georgia in February 2009 and redshirted last season.
He is currently battling Logan Gray and Aaron Murray for the Georgia starting quarterback job.
Georgia started spring practice on Thursday but the Bulldogs are off this week due to spring break at the University.
Georgia coach Mark Richt is aware of Mettenberger's arrest but is out of town and unavailable for comment.
