Valdosta-- A memorial service is planned for one of the Moody airmen killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.
The service for Lieutenant Colonel John Stein will be at 2:00 Thursday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Colchester, Illinois.
Stein was the pilot of the Komodo 11 team that crashed last month on a mission to rescue two injured Afghani children.
He was a native of Bardolph, Illinois, but lived in Valdosta with his wife and three children.
