
ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Westover Patriots are headed back to the final four and they earned some revenge in the process.
Saturday night Westover beat South Atlanta 67-62 in a rematch of last year's AAA championship game.
Westover will play Columbia on Friday at 5:30 for a trip to the championship game.
Elswhere in AAA Dougherty's Cinderella run came to an end in a 59-51 loss to unbeaten LaGrange.
"It came down to who made the most mistakes and I think we made more mistakes than they did. They have got a good team. I think we did a wonderful job playing team ball. We appreciate them and we appreciate all the support we got tonight too" said head coach Donald Poole.
In AA Thomasville earned a spot in the final four with a 65-54 win over Henry County. The Bulldogs will play Jefferson on Thursday at 5:30 in Macon.
In girls action Laney beat Thomasville 84-54 and Vidalia beat Mitchell County 65 to 35.
