(WALB) – Pelham Police help get a man suspected of being a major drug supplier in and around Mitchell County off the streets.

A Federal Grand Jury indicted 23-year-old Sharmaine Simpson on five counts possession with intent to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine.

Simpson was arrested in Thomas County Wednesday and is now in federal custody in Macon.

Pelham Police worked with the GBI to set up surveillance to catch Simpson.  He's being detained without bond.
