ALBANY, GA (WALB) – The money raised from the Snickers Marathon Energy Bar Marathon will go to a good cause.  The Willson Hospice House of Albany.

The home is under construction and almost complete.  It will have 18 beds to allow those with terminal illnesses to end their lives with dignity.

The money will help those families make ends meet.

"It's very important. We use funds like this to meet special needs that our patients or families having financial trouble paying the electric bill, and we can use the money for things like that," said Patty Woodall, Albany Community Hospice Director. @

Last year, the race raised around $20,000 for The Willson Hospice House.
