ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Authorities in Ben Hill county are investigating the death of a 2-month old girl.

The baby was rushed to Dorminy Medical Center Thursday morning because she was having trouble breathing.

Doctors could not revive the child.

Her body was taken to the G-B-I crime lab in Macon for an autopsy.

DFCS took two other young children from the mother while they investigate.

"The autopsy showed no signs of abuse, no signs of trauma and as of right now there is no known cause of death," said Investigator Mike Phillips.

Investigators are waiting on the autopsy to determine a cause of death before they decide how to proceed with the investigation.
