ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Former Albany Assistant Fire Chief Roderick Jolivette's lawyer filed a complaint against the Chattahoochee County Sheriff for not providing public records.
Attorney Howard Stiller filed a complaint to enforce the Georgia Open Records Act and a temporary restraining order against Sheriff Glynn Cooper.
Stiller says he requested permits and certifications for speed detection devices and duty logs for the Deputy who stopped Jolivette August 18th.
Jolivette was charged with speeding and impersonating a police officer.
He's suspended without pay until the case is resolved.
