AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - The South Georgia Tech Lady Jets continue their quest to earn their first ever berth to the national junior college tournament
After winning the region title last week, the Lady Jets now shoot for the district title.
South Georgia Tech women play Guilford Tech in the district championship game Saturday afternoon.
It has taken just six years for coach Brandan Harrell to build the Lady Jets program into state champions.
Harrell says his players are looking forward to the challenge of winning a championship game on the road.
Brandan Harrell said. "This is the one game that stands between us and getting to the national tournament. We win this game and we are in the national tournament. We lose this game and we are done."
The South Georgia Tech Lady Jets game will be played at Rockingham Community College at 1:00 p.m. in Wentworth, North Carolina.
