LEE COUNTY,  GA (WALB) – A four vehicle wreck involving a dump truck in Lee County Friday morning sent a woman to the hospital.

Around 8am troopers say John Gibson of Leesburg was driving a dump truck north on highway 19. When the light turned red at the Forester Parkway intersection, troopers say he couldn't put on his brakes quick enough, so to avoid hitting the car in front of him he swerved right onto Forester and side-swiped three vehicles waiting in the turn lane.

"I was sitting here and was going to turn south and I saw the truck come around like he was going to lose control. So I tried to avoid him hitting me by pulling forward but he still hit my side here," said Glenn Pate.

Hanh King of Leesburg was in the damaged Silver Scion. She was taken to the hospital with only minor injuries. Everyone else is OK. Gibson is charged with driving too fast for conditions.
