ALBANY, GA (WALB) –In just a few months, a Lee County resident will embark on a journey of a lifetime..a trip around the world.

In June, 22 year old Mary Hollis will participate in a mission trip called World Race, where she and a squad of 50 others will visit 11 countries in 11 months.

Her trip will start in Ireland, and then take her to places such as Egypt, Kenya, Israel and even Thailand.

On the trip she hopes to reach out to as many people as possible and let them know there is hope.

"We'll be able to do service projects but our main goal is to really sit down and talk with people and share with them the love of Christ and let them know there is hope," said Hollis.

She says it was a life changing mission trip to Africa that inspired her to pursue more mission trips around the world.
