COOK COUNTY, GA (WALB) –A crash on Interstate-75 in Cook County Thursday morning injured five people and shut down all the southbound lanes for more than an hour and a half.

22-year old Ashleigh Marie Scott of Douglasville fell asleep behind the wheel and slammed into the median barrier near Exit 39 a little before seven o'clock.

Her Isuzu rodeo flipped several times. The front seat passenger 20-year old Heather McKenzie was ejected.

She was airlifted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

The other three passengers and the driver were treated at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta.
