Pedestrian struck and killed on Philema Road - WALB.com, Albany News, Weather, Sports

ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  A person was killed when he was struck by a vehicle about 5:00 near Chehaw Park this afternoon.

A witness tells us the man stopped his truck in the outside lane of Philema Road and got out to check his tires.

The witness says it looked as if the man lost his balance and stumbled into the path of an SUV, which hit him.

That driver and other witnesses stopped to check on the man, but he was already dead.
