Meigs -- Another methamphetamine lab is found in South Georgia, and the owners were ready to protect it.

The lab was found in a rural area of Thomas County. Just after midnight, Meigs police raided a house on Southwest Railroad Street.

They found hundreds of methamphetamine pills and a meth lab in a shed behind a house. Alan Burgess, Brandy Dixon and Paul Vick are charged with possession with intent to distribute the meth pills. Burgess and Vick are also charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.

Inside the shed they found propane tanks, camp fuel, coffee filters and rock salt. “When we got to the last room, we found everything that he needed for his meth lab,” said Investigator Robert Jordan. “We also came across a small cross bow that was loaded, cocked and ready to be fired.”

Burgess is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
