Wind to blame for power outage

TIFTON, GA (WALB) – Strong wind is to blame for power outages and some minor home damage in the Tifton area.

Around six Tuesday morning, high winds blew down a couple of trees which took out power lines.

About 1400 people in the Brookfield and Omega areas were without electricity for about an hour.

In Tifton, several tree branches and garbage cans littered the ground after the strong gusts. There are some reports of roof damage in that area as well.
