    The Albany Police Depart is engaged in a recruitment campaign to get its officer corps up to full strength. APD is budgeted for 214 officers, and right now is about 20 officers short of that level, and

ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  Thieves smashed the plate glass window at Radio Shack on Sylvester Road in East Albany about 1:00 Tuesday morning.    

They reached through the broken window and grabbed 12-volt D C adaptors and screen protectors for GPS systems.      

No one has been arrested.
