VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –A Valdosta man that was brutally beaten has died.

49-year old Michael McCaskill died Saturday in a Lakeland care facility.

20-year-old Corey Singleton, 21-year old Dontarius Johnson, and a 16-year old were charged with assaulting him.

Police may upgrade charges to murder.

The teenager is being held at a youth detention center.

Singleton and Johnson are in jail charged with murdering 60-year Robert Crawford on August 29.
